  1. 800 yards this morning at the downtown Y…my alarm didnt wake me up early enough to get extra 200 done…oh well ill try for tomorrow.

  2. Spin and swim morning for me at Belmont Y. I did 1000…and it hurt, time for some good stretching.

Hey Clint – the Belmont Y’s pool was 86 degrees this morning, (I thought I was going to pass out I was so warm) a little better than your 70 degree Visser Y. 🙂

  3. 900 yards at 6:20a at the DDH YMCA in 21:35! On my second set, I swam freestyle down, breast stroke back.

Rudy came through again in the morning routine, protein shake and all. I really have to get up earlier though if this is gonna stick!

Hey there Phil! Who are you and how did you hear about the February swim challenge?

  4. Ok, here is my scoop. Ground Hog’s Day. Since I can’t figure out meter distance in pools I use the lap version in counting. February 2, 2007: 55 laps or 1.5 miles, at DDH. Also for your information Ground Hogs don’t swim.
    Feb 6 & 7, 2007; 55 laps each day or 1.5 miles.

By the way my laps are counted by the quarter, nickle, dime, or penny method.

  5. Day 8: 1200 yards during lunch time at the downtown Y

  6. 1000 yards (yeah baby!) this morning around 8am at the Calvin pool, in 16:38. I’m going to start making up my mileage shortage slowly but steadily. I will also most likely not have the opportunity to swim on Friday or Saturday as I will be leaving for Chicago. Happy swimming everyone!

  7. 02/08/2007 @ downtown YMCA at 1:00 – 1050 yards.

  8. 1000 yards in 13:45 at the downtown YMCA at lunchtime.

  9. Spent my swim time with a police officer (and it wasnt Adam or Karl) filling out a report…should make the DDH at 5am friday..then off to customer breakfast

  10. 1000 yards in 13:45 at the dowtown YMCA at lunchtime

  11. 1000 yard in 15:47 at the Holland Aquatic Center in the evening.

Wow! We have some fast swimmers in this group.

Rebecca, I know Perry from the Cross Country Cycle Triathlon team. He forward this challenge on to me, and I thought is was a great idea. Maybe we can have an end of the challenge celebration and that would give me a chance to meet some of you.

  12. 1200 yards at downtown Y after work. There was another high school swim meet so had to swim in the shortened pool where it’s 5 laps to do a 100 yards instead of the normal 4. Makes it seem like you’re swimming a whole lot more.
