Day Twenty

February 20, 2007

“If you train hard, you’ll not only be hard, you’ll be hard to beat.”
– Herschel Walker

  1. 1000 yards at the downtown Y.

  2. 1000 yards at the downtown YMCA at 6a.

It was a tough swim today: I could feel my breathing was off and my muscles were out of touch and that annoying tingling-hand-thing started on lap 3 today.

So I decided that time wasn’t the obstacle to beat today – rather the will to endure and persevere and I am glad to say that I never stopped until the last stroke was completed.

  3. Well I was a late starter (Feb 8th) because I just moved back down here but I’m in it to the finish now. I have only missed one day since then. did my first 1700 yds since last summer yesterday. I only planned on a 1000 but Bob was there to push me farther. Thanks BOB!!!

  4. P.S.
Put me down for the stroak clinic… I have put in a 1000 yds a day since I started.

  5. 1600 yards

  6. 2000 yards this afternoon with Matt Clarin. Saw Pat Carey, Tom & Perry there as well.

  7. Lunch time 3,000 yards DDH. Pool was open and no baby ruths

  8. 2000 yards as Rudy indicated. Tom & Perry were talking a March challenge.

  9. 1800 yds today

  10. March Challenge?

  11. I’m not sure what you heard Matt but I am not interested in starting another swim challenge in March. I’m looking forward to getting back to a realistic swimming schedule. Rudy and I did talked about a challenge that involves running and or spinning.

  12. 1500 yards at the Visser Y. Pool is warm again!

  13. 1000 yds at Visser Y after runner’s group tonight. My challenge was to do it straight and flip turn in both the deep end and shallow end (which, I usually only do the deep end sometimes, b/c I don’t want to hit my head in the shallow end). I did it! It was fun and went by pretty fast that way.

I’m a bit disappointed as I don’t know how much I’ll be able to swim over the next few days. But, I’ll be in 65 -70 degree weather, so that makes up for it 🙂

Swim on friends! We’re almost done!!

  14. Oh Sara! Imagine how much fun it would be if God dazzles you with a pool on your travels for work! 🙂 Don’t give up!

  15. 1200 yards at HAC.

  16. 2000 yards after work downtown. only two lap lanes because of the contamination
